What do I need?
Q.

Which version of Jet-Tech do I need?

A.

We have programs that cover virtually all classes of Kart Racing. Have a look at the matrix that we have put together listing classes, carburettors and the most suitable software program: Which Jet-Tech?

Q. Do I need anything else to use Jet-Tech?
A.

Yes. You will need a weather station. Your weather station should be capable of providing the ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure and humidity. Ideally you should obtain a weather station that has a remote sensor. This can then be placed outside, near ground level in the shade - the optimum place for accurate temperature and humidity readings. We offer a suitable weather station - the Jet-Tech Weather Pro.

 

Q. Can I get a Demo?
A. We do not provide demonstration software. However, we do guarantee the accuracy of Jet-Tech. For more information, please see: Jetting and Dynamic Simulation
 

System Requirements & Supported Platforms

Q.

What are the system requirements to run Jet-Tech?

A.

Jet-Tech runs on Microsoft Windows and has been tested on Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. Jet-Tech has also been partly tested by customers on Apple MAC OSX with Windows. The Help Files require Adobe Acrobat Reader (minimum v7) which can be downloaded for free from Adobe.

Q.

What are the supported platforms that Jet-Tech will run on?

A.

Jet-Tech is designed to run on Laptop computers. Jet-Tech applications do not run on Palm, other PDA's or mobile 'phones.

Q.

Will Jet-Tech run on an Apple MAC?

A.

Jet-Tech has been tested by customers using Apple MAC iBook's running OSX with Windows. We do have customers running Jet-Tech successfully on Intel-based MAC's using a Windows solution like "Parallels" or "VMWare". Apple also offer a dual-boot Windows solution using "BootCamp".

 

Q.

How can I be sure my installation of Windows is up to date?

 

To ensure that your Windows installation is up to date, go to the Microsoft website to download any Service Packs and Updates. You can access these from:

In addition, we would recommend that you download and install a small program called "Eusing Free Registry Cleaner", which will check and clean up the Windows Registry. Once you have installed any Microsoft updates, it will be worth installing this program and running it. Registry errors are not unusual and can cause your machine to run slowly. The program can be downloaded FREE from here:

How do I order a Jet-Tech product?

A.

If you are based in the Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, United States or Canada you can order from your local 'Authorised Partner'  who can provide you the full range of Jet-Tech software and selected products. If we do not have an Authorised Partner in your location, you can order from this website. Just click the "BUY NOW" link on the main menu above.

Q.

What are my payment options?

A.

You can pay using any major credit/debit card or, if you have one, via your PayPal account. For customers who are unable to pay on line. We can provide bank details for direct bank transfer on request. Please note: For reasons of security, we do not accept telephone credit card orders.

Can I telephone and give you my card details ?

A.

No. For reasons of security and availability, we do not accept telephone credit card orders.

Q.

Do I need a PayPal account to order Jet-Tech ?

A.

No. You do not need a PayPal account. We use PayPal as our transaction processing Merchant Service provider. PayPal offers significant security and protection benefits for the customer and ourselves where you can use your Visa, MasterCard

 

 

Licence, Passwords and Software Protection

Q.

Can I install Jet-Tech on multiple PC's?

A.

No. All Jet-Tech software products are single user, single installation products. However, you can transfer your software to another computer. Please see the link on the FAQ menu left.

Q.

Why do I need a password to un-lock my software?

A.

All Jet-Tech products are protected from illegal copying or duplication. Passwords are provided to customers who have purchased the software legitimately. This is to prevent illegal copying of the software.

Q.

How do I obtain a password to un-lock my software?

A.

When you install your software, a unique KeyCode is generated. This is sent to us  and we will return a password to un-lock and correctly register your application. Full details are in the instructions sent to you when you have placed your order.

Backing up your saved data in Jet-Tech PRO

Q.

How do I backup all my settings and saved data in Jet-Tech PRO?

A.

After each time you use Jet-Tech PRO, a backup file will be created and saved to the JetTech BackUp folder on your Windows Desktop. You can easily copy the backup folder to a USB stick or external drive after you have finished using Jet-Tech PRO and keep it safe.

2.    If you have a computer failure, need to re-install Jet-Tech PRO or transfer your software to a new computer and restore all your saved settings/records, by using your saved BackUp, we can provide a bespoke installation which will include all your data. Full details are in our Customer Area.

 

 

Transferring Jet-Tech to a new computer

Q.

How do I transfer my Jet-Tech software to another computer?

A.

The Jet-Tech license is sold to run on a single computer so cannot be installed on multiple machines.  However you can transfer your Jet-Tech license to another computer - for example, if you have purchased a new laptop etc.

NB. Re-installation and/or transfer of Jet-Tech will delete all your saved records and settings. Please do not attempt to transfer your software until you have read the instructions!

 

Q.

How do I save my records and data if I want to transfer my license to another computer?

A.

Jet-Tech Motorsport offer a Data Transfer Service to save all your records so they can be transferred to a new computer. This must be done BEFORE you un-install the program from your existing computer. There is a nominal charge for this service. Software Updates

What do software updates cost?

A.

Updates to the software are FREE to our customers.

Q.

How do I know what version of Jet-Tech is installed on my computer?

A.

Open the Jet-Tech program, click on the Jet-Tech or dealer logo on the bottom right of the opening screen and the Version and Build number are display in the title bar of the screen that pops up.

Q.

How do I update my Jet-Tech software to the latest version?

A.

Check the version of Jet-Tech that you have installed (see above) then go to the Updates page. New updates will have a later version number. The update file can be downloaded and installed - it does not require  a new activation password.
